Description:	The statistics on building and dwelling production describe the volume of construction subject to building permits and the volume of production. The statistics describe domestic building production from the view point of the end product. The volume is measured in the statistics with the cubic capacity and number of dwellings of building projects. The volume index of newbuilding describes changes in the value at constant prices of newbuilding in domestic building construction from the comparison period or the base year of the index. The statistics do not extend to conversions requiring building permits or alterations comparable to rebuilding. Read full description >>>
