Building costs rose by 4.6 per cent from February 2007 to February 2008. Labour costs in construction went up by 1.9 per cent, prices of materials by 5.7 per cent and those of other inputs by 5.9 per cent year-on-year. This is indicated by the building cost index of Statistics Finland.
From January to February 2008, the total index of building costs rose by 0.6 per cent. The prices for labour rose by 0.2 per cent, whereas those for materials rose by 0.8 per cent and other inputs rose by 0.6 per cent.
