Output of the national economy shows no sign of slowing down in December

Adjusted for working days, output was 3.6 per cent higher in December than one year before. According to revised data, working-day adjusted output increased in November 2017 by 4.3 per cent (previously 3.5 per cent) from November 2016. For this reason, seasonally adjusted output fell by 0.1 per cent in December 2017 from the month before.

Description: The Trend Indicator of Output endeavours to forecast the monthly development of the national economy. It contains index series since January 1996. The data are in the form of an index whose base year is always the previous year. The data have been calculated as original and working day adjusted series for the whole economy and for three main industries. A seasonally adjusted and a trend series are also calculated for the whole economy.

Change: New seasonal adjustment software adopted

Starting from the September 2015 data, a new seasonal adjustment software JDemetra+ will be adopted in the Trend Indicator of Output.
