Export prices down by 1.8 per cent from October to November

According to Statistics Finland, export prices went down by 1.8 per cent from October to November. The fall was primarily due to lower prices of pulp, paper and paper products, electrical equipment and oil products. Export prices fell by 5.9 per cent in the year to November, which was due to lower prices of electrical equipment, oil products and base metals.

Import prices went down by 0.6 per cent from October to November and by 7.2 per cent in the year to November. The lower prices of electrical equipment and crude oil contributed most to the fall in prices both in one month and in the year.

Producer prices for manufactured goods, or producer prices for goods intended for the domestic market, went down by 0.8 per cent from October to November and by 4.2 per cent from last year's November. The lower prices of electricity and pulp contributed most to the fall in prices in one month and those of pulp, electricity and oil products in the year.

Wholesale prices fell by 3.6 per cent in the year to November. The wholesale prices of imported goods went down by 6 per cent and those of domestic goods by 2.4 per cent.
