According to Statistics Finland, around 1.4 million domestic leisure trips with overnight stay were made in January 2024, which is 10 per cent more than one year ago. The number of leisure trips abroad also grew. Around 0.4 million leisure trips abroad were made in January 2024, which is 15 per cent more than one year before.

  • The number of leisure trips abroad with overnight stay in the destination country was around 0.3 million, which is one fifth more than one year earlier. One in four of the trips were package tours.
