According to Statistics Finland, the median earnings for regular hours worked by monthly paid wage and salary earners who work full-time and earn full pay in the local government sector were EUR 3,124 per month in 2022. The median earnings of women were EUR 3,064 and those of men EUR 3,504 per month. Eighty-one per cent of the local government sector wage and salary earners were women.

  • Around 4 400 hourly paid wage and salary earners worked in the local government sector. The average median of the average hourly earnings for regular hours worked inclusive of premium pay was EUR 15.97.
