release | Goods transport by road 2022, 3rd quarterAccording to Statistics Finland, a total of 71 million tonnes of goods were transported by lorries in domestic road transport in the third quarter of 2022. Compared to the previous year, the volume of transported goods grew by three per cent. The transport performance remained on level with the previous year and amounted to 7.7 billion tonne-kilometres.

- Although the transport volume of road transport was in total on level with the previous year, the transport volume of soil materials fell by 25 per cent.
- The share of transported soil materials made up 30 per cent of the volume of goods transported in road transport and seven per cent of the transport performance.
- Ninety-three per cent of the transport volume was transported in professional transport and seven per cent in private transport.
