Turnover of construction enterprises grew by over seven per cent in the June to August period

The turnover of construction enterprises grew by 7.2 per cent in the June to August period when compared with the corresponding three-month period of the year before. In the latest examination period, turnover increased by 13.7 per cent in building construction, contracted by 7.8 per cent in civil engineering and grew by 7.0 per cent in specialised construction compared with the June to August period of the previous year.

The sales volume of construction enterprises grew by 17.9 per cent year-on-year in the June to August period. Over the same period, the sales volume of building construction enterprises went up by 26.0 per cent, that of civil engineering contracted by 10.2 per cent and that of specialised construction activities rose by 18.7 per cent.

The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
