In the first quarter of the year, turnover grew in almost all main service industries from one year ago. Of the sub-industries of information and communication activities, growth has been fastest in software, consultancy and related activities that grew by 24.0 per cent year-on-year.

Turnover in service industries also grew rapidly in the main industry of arts, entertainment and recreation, where turnover went up by 7.1 per cent year-on-year. Professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 5.1 per cent from one year ago.

Turnover development was still weakest in transportation and storage, where the drop from one year ago was 0.7 per cent. Turnover development has become differentiated between the sub-industries of transportation and storage. Data revised in several industries

An error occurred in the automatic editing of data that affected the results of the statistical publication released on 13 May. Enterprise closures had been interpreted incorrectly so that all enterprise closures were not included in the calculation of the reference period 12/2014 to 2/2015. This is visible as a downward revision in the index series released now. The revision particularly applies to industries: 49 Land and rail transport, 56 Food and beverage service activities, 58 Publishing activities, 63 Information service activities, 68 Real estate activities, 71 Architectural and engineering activities; technical testing and analysis, 73 Advertising and market research, and 81 Services to buildings and landscape activities.
