Turnover in new car sales has been recorded according to a revised accounting practice since data concerning April. Motor car tax is no longer included in turnover as in the past. An estimation of the share of the motor car tax in last year's April-October has been removed from the annual change shown for this April-October.

Seasonal adjustment models have been revised

The seasonal adjustment models used have been revised in connection with the calculation of the indices of turnover for October. The revisions influence the seasonally adjusted and trend series, but not the original and working-day adjusted time series. The change percentages calculated from the original series have thus become only slightly revised, and this is due to new data having become available. For more detailed information about the revised treatment of seasonal adjustment, see
