The Meeting of the Siena Group in Helsinki, February 9 -11, 2005

The participants of the 11th Siena Group Meeting gathered in the lobby of Statistics Finland.

The programme of the Siena Group Meeting in Helsinki is getting finalized in a few days. If you want to give a presentation, please contact the session organiser (see the programme on the homepage) to check whether there is still room for short, 15 minutes presentation.

Meeting venue

The meeting will be held at the Statistics Finland (Tilastokeskus), in Helsinki. Street address: Työpajankatu 13, 00580 Helsinki.

Transport

Transport expenses are to be covered by participants. Transport from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport: Buses and taxis to the city center leave outside the airport terminal. Taxi fee is approx. 30€. Buses: Finnair City Bus (fee 4,90€) and regional buses 451, 415 and 615 (fee is 3€).

Transport from the railway station (stops at the main entrance of Statistic Finland) by buses 68 and 73B. (see map) The bus fee is 2€.

Accommodation

Accommodation expenses are to be covered by participants.

Hotel Arthur is situated in the city centre close to main railway station and bus station. There are special prices for the guests of Statistics Finland, so when making reservations, please quote Statistics Finland as reference. The reservation is to be confirmed with a credit card number.

Helka Hotel is situated near the city centre close to subway station Kamppi.

Lunches, coffee breaks

Lunch is served at the Statistics Finland canteen on conference days between 12:30 and 2:00 p.m. Coffee, tea and refreshments are available in the morning and during breaks.

Conference dinner

Statistics Finland will host a conference dinner on Wednesday 9th February at 6 p.m. All participants and partners are invited to attend.

Reception

HEUNI will host a reseption on Thursday 10th February.
