1Information on Virati
The Virati working group has decided to take into use the FINREP data collection framework developed by the Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS). It concerns a joint data collection on economic information by European financial supervisors for supervisory purposes. The first data collection will relate to the situation on 31 March 2013.
FINREP comprises profit and loss statements and balance sheets and additional tables supplementing them. The supervisor decides the additional tables to be reported upon. The present statistical data collection and the risk reporting by the Financial Supervisory Authority are amended to be compatible with FINREP. At the same time, the data content of these tables can be revised and the tables no longer needed can be discarded.
The selection of the additional tables supplementing the core FINREP and analyses on the needs for changing the present data collection have started. The intention is to have the final reporting tables defined by the end of 2011. The project will progress in collaboration with the reporting bodies.
