This Classification Memorandum contains classification units for a more detailed specification of authorities' data collection. Classification may also include criteria which specify the use of the classification. Some classification entities are official and specifically confirmed or to be confirmed, complemented for authorities' data collection by eg group classifications.
Official classifications include eg classification entities S (sectors) and G (industries). The Classification Memorandum is not a separate data collection unit, but rather a tool for defining data collection. All classifications are not yet targeted to any data collection units. Subclassifications have been added to several classifications for defining data collection as unambiguously as possible.
The final chapter of the Memorandum contains completion instructions. This chapter will be updated with instructions for filling in the data collection units. These instructions are not for classification, but rather instructions for interpreting them.
