Katri Soinne graduated from the University of Tampere in 1999 with a degree in economics. Her first appointment at Statistics Finland was with the Economic Statistics unit, where she contributed to compiling national accounts on trade and the hotel and restaurant sector. She is currently responsible for research on households and non-profit institutions serving households
Katri has served as lecturer on GDP courses organised by Statistics Finland Customer Training and she is currently responsible for a multimedia GDP course. She also gives lectures on the national accounts (in Finnish and English) to visiting groups of students and schoolchildren.
