Road traffic accidents claimed 16 lives in January

According to preliminary data of Statistics Finland, 329 accidents involving personal injury happened in road traffic in January. In them, 16 persons were killed and 429 persons injured. The number of persons killed was one lower and that of persons injured 15 lower than in January 2015.

Of the persons who were killed, 14 travelled by passenger car. Pedestrians killed in road traffic accidents numbered two. Among those who died, 14 were men and two were women.
