Producer Price Indices in November 2007

Producer prices for manufactured products rose by 1.7 per cent, export prices by 1.1 per cent and import prices by 3.9 per cent from November 2006 to November 2007. The basic price index for domestic supply went up by 4.1 per cent in the year. The year-on-year change in the wholesale price index amounted to 3.4 per cent.

The rise in the producer prices for manufactured goods was particularly caused by increased prices of oil products from November 2006. The rising of the prices was held back by fallen prices of electric energy.

From October to November, producer prices for manufactured goods went up by 0.3 per cent. The increase in the prices was caused especially by risen prices of oil products. The rise in the prices was curbed by, among other things, fallen price of copper.
