Revised financial accounts data for 2007 published
Annual financial accounts data for 2007 have been revised on the basis of completed source data. The preliminary data were published in July 2008. At the same time the time series of the statistics describing the financial balance sheets and financial flows of institutional sectors have been changed as from the year 1999 onwards.
As regards the year 2007, the biggest revisions to preliminary data were made in the data on households, non-financial corporations and the rest of the world. The most important time series adjustments concern the allocation of currency and deposits to holding sectors. As a result of the revision, households' total financial assets at the end of 2007 rose by EUR 2.5 billion to just under EUR 203 billion.
