Sales of retail trade grew by 7.9 per cent in April

According to Statistics Finland, retail trade sales rose by 7.9 per cent in April from April 2010. Sales volume also grew by 5.5 per cent during the same time period. Wholesale trade sales went up by 10.4 per cent and motor vehicle sales by 29.7 per cent. In total trade sales increased by 12.1 per cent in April.

Sales in retail trade rose by 5.8 per cent and in wholesale trade by 11.7 per cent in January to April compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. Motor vehicle sales rose by 30.8 per cent. In total trade sales were up in January to April by 12.3 per cent on the respective period of the year before.
