Sales of retail trade grew by 4.7 per cent in June

According to Statistics Finland, retail trade sales rose by 4.7 per cent in June from June 2009. Sales volume grew by 4.1 per cent during the same time period. Wholesale trade sales went up by 9.0 per cent and motor vehicle sales by 31.7 per cent. In total trade sales increased by 10.1 per cent in June.

Sales in retail trade rose by 2.8 per cent and in wholesale trade by 5.8 per cent in January to June compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. Motor vehicle sales also rose by 12.5 per cent. In total trade sales were up in January to June by 5.6 per cent on the respective period of the year before.
