The statistics describe quarterly data on the revenue and expenditure of general government. The statistics are derived statistics according to the national accounts, that is, statistics according to the national accounts derived from sector-specific basic statistics. The statistics were developed to develop economic monitoring of general government for timely and reliable measuring of the public sector required by the EU's Stability and Growth Pact and the European Central Bank ECB.
Quarterly time series on the revenue and expenditure of general government in accordance with the European System of Accounts. Transactions within general government were consolidated as concerns property income, property expenditure, other current transfers and capital transfers.

The data are public.
The classifications used in these statistics are based on the European System of Accounts 1995 (ESA1995). The used classification are the Classification of Sectors and the Classification of Transactions.
The statistics are compiled by exploiting diverse statistics describing economic development which are produced by Statistics Finland and other institutions and organisations. The statistics are derived from basic statistics according to the classifications, definitions and methods of the European System of Accounts.

Within less than three months from the end of each quarter.
The data are available starting from 1991. Part of the time series are from 1998.
