In the last quarter of the year, consumption of hard coal amounted to around 0.9 million tonnes, which was 54 per cent less than one year earlier. Use of hard coal decreased in plants of separate production of electricity, which consumed 47 less of it than a year earlier in 2010. In the third quarter of the year the consumption totalled 0.7 million tonnes (17,000 TJ). This was 6 per cent less than in the third quarter of 2008.
