The data are used by the Business Structures department in the compilation of financial statement statistics, statistics describing the foreign ownership of enterprises as well as other structural and economic statistics. Establishment-specific data on manufacturing are used to compile regional and industrial statistics on manufacturing as well as other structural and economic statistics. The collected enterprise and establishment data are also used as research material by the research laboratory of the Busines Structures department and by the Economic Statistics department in the compilation of national, regional and financial accounts.
