EU and Finland's industrial output: data on output are used by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Communities and certain other international organisationa (i.a. OECD, UN). The data are used by general government, organisations, research institutes and the business community both in Finland and abroad, especially in the EU countries, to monitor and analyse the development of manufacturing. In addition, data from commodity statistics are used as the weight structure of trend indicators (Volume Index of Industrial Output, Producer Price Index for Manufactured Products).
Use data on raw materials are collected for the input-output and supply tables used in national accounts GDP calculation.The data from the data collection are used in the following statistics:
