The data are used to produce statistics on pre-primary and comprehensive education, statistics on special education and statistics on subject choices of students.
The comprehensive school statistics questionnaire collects data required by the National Board or Education in determining state subsidies. Statistics Finland uses the data on the addresses and numbers of pupils of comprehensive schools to update its register of educational institutions.The data are used by representatives of the educational administration in the planning and evaluation of education, as well as by organisers of education, and association, researchers and students in the field.The data from the data collection are used in the following statistics:
