The targets of the data collection on subject choices in upper secondary general school education are students of the full upper secondary general school syllabus, completers of the full upper secondary general school syllabus and subject choices of completers of the full upper secondary general school syllabus.
The data are collected by educational institution and the data suppliers are all educational institutions providing upper secondary general education.
The data are collected electronically via the Internet with a web questionnaire. The data transmission application remains open from 1 to 30 June. The application may only be accessed by data suppliers who have received a user ID from Statistics Finland.The obligation to provide data is based on the Statistics Act (280/2004). The Statistics Act obliges Statistics Finland to treat the provided data as confidential.
