The inquiry on production of electricity and heat is used to collect annual data on production of electricity and heat by production mode, fuels consumed in production, fuel storages and use of electricity and heat in the plant area.
The inquiry concerns all producers of electricity and those producers of heat whose annual production totals 10,000 MWh or whose heat production capacity is at least 5 MW. The objective is to extract production and fuel data for all producers of electricity from the statistics of the Finnish Energy Industries. Data on storage oils are requested with a separate inquiry.
The data by plant in the statistics on production of electricity and heat can be handled at Statistics Finland only by persons participating in the production of energy statistics and, if it is necessary, also by other persons participating in the production of statistics on the basis of specific user licences. The data are protected against improper use in accordance with the data protection regulations of Statistics Finland.
The name of the energy production inquiry has been changed into the inquiry on production of electricity and heat.
