The currency in Finland is euro. Credit cards are widely accepted in Finland.
The electrical current in Finland is 220 V (50 Hz). Plugs and sockets are of the same type as in the continental countries of the EU. If your equipment requires a different voltage, an electrical transformer will be needed.
Please check the validity of your own insurance. The Conference organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained or loss of, or damage to, property belonging to Conference delegates (or their accompanying persons) either during or as a result of the Conference.
In late August, the temperature in Joensuu ranges from the midday average of 19 C to the night-time average 10 C. Occasional showers can be expected and it could also be pretty chilly.
